Hey Candle lovers! Are you obsessed with creating the perfect ambiance, filling your home with glorious scents, and just enjoying the glow? Well me too and that is why we at Top2Bottum.com decided to start crafting and hand pouring them ourselves. And we really love how they turned out.
Have you wondered what your candles are made of? Let's dive deep into why you should ditch those paraffin favorites and embrace the amazing world of soy wax candles. Let's get lit responsibly!
So what is soy wax? In simple terms: it's a vegatable wax made from soy bean oil. Soybeans are harvested, cleaned, cracked, de-hulled (removing the seed coat), and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. This process converts some of the unsaturated fatty acids into saturated fatty acids which solidifies it.
Benefit #1
Cleaner burning. Paraffin wax, derived from petroleum (yes the same stuff used to make gasoline!), releases toxins such as toluene ans benzene into the air when it burns. This can irritate allergies, worsen asthma and pollute your indoor air.
Soy wax is non-toxic and burns much cleaner which is better for the air you breathe.
Benefit #2
Long burn time. More bang for your buck! Soy wax candles typically 30-50% longer than paraffin candles. The slower melting point allows enjoyment of your favorite scents for longer. This ultimately leads to money saved!
Benefit #3
Better scent throw. It is all about the fragrance! Fragrance & essential oils disperse easier in cleaner wax.
Benefit #4
Eco- Friendly and sustainable. Caring for the Whole Self includes caring for the Earth! Soy is a renewable resource, making it a more sustainable choice. Paraffin is a byproduct of the petroleum industry. Soybeans are grown in the US so you'll be supporting local farmers and reducing transportation emissions.
With all these reaasons, what's not to love! Love your health, your home, and your Earth!

Why AHAs & BHAs Can Be a Game-Changer for Your Skin
It All Begins Here
When it comes to healthy, glowing skin, exfoliation is key—but not all exfoliation is created equal. At Top2Bottum Organics, we love ingredients that work with your skin, not against it. That’s where AHAs and BHAs come in. These gentle yet powerful acids can help reveal smoother, clearer, more radiant skin when used correctly.
Let’s break it down in a simple, skin-loving way.
What Are AHAs and BHAs?
AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids) are chemical exfoliants. Instead of physically scrubbing the skin (which can cause micro-tears and irritation), they work by gently dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells on the surface.
Think of them as a reset button for your skin ✨
AHAs: Glow-Boosting Surface Smoothers
AHAs are water-soluble, meaning they work mainly on the surface of the skin. Common AHAs include glycolic acid, lactic acid, and fruit-derived acids.
Benefits of AHAs:
Help smooth rough, uneven skin texture
Brighten dull or tired-looking skin
Improve the appearance of dark spots and discoloration
Support collagen production for a more youthful glow
Enhance moisture retention, leaving skin soft and plump
AHAs are especially great for dry, normal, or mature skin, and for anyone looking to boost radiance and smoothness.
BHAs: Deep-Cleaning Pore Purifiers
BHAs, like salicylic acid, are oil-soluble, which means they can travel deeper into the pores. This makes them ideal for oily, acne-prone, or congested skin.
Benefits of BHAs:
Unclog pores and reduce blackheads
Help control excess oil
Calm redness and inflammation
Reduce breakouts and prevent future acne
Improve overall skin clarity
BHAs are a favorite for those dealing with acne, enlarged pores, or frequent breakouts.
Why Chemical Exfoliation Can Be Better Than Scrubs
Physical exfoliants can sometimes be too harsh, especially for sensitive or textured skin. AHAs and BHAs provide:
More even exfoliation
Less irritation when properly formulated
Better long-term skin improvement
Support for healthy skin cell turnover
At Top2Bottum Organics, we believe exfoliation should feel effective and gentle—never stripping or uncomfortable.
Using AHAs & BHAs the Right Way
A little goes a long way. Over-exfoliating can cause dryness and sensitivity, so balance is everything.
Tips for best results:
Start slow (1–3 times per week)
Always moisturize after use
Use sunscreen during the day (exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive)
Listen to your skin—hydration and consistency matter
The Top2Bottum Organics Approach
We thoughtfully formulate with skin-loving ingredients that support exfoliation without compromising your skin barrier. Our goal is to help you achieve healthy, balanced skin from top to bottum—naturally.
When used correctly, AHAs and BHAs can transform your skincare routine, helping your products absorb better, your skin look brighter, and your confidence shine through 💖

Turn Intention Into Action
It All Begins Here
Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.
The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.
You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
